To Spin or To Cast
I have heard many anglers say that they prefer their casting rods over their spin rods. I find this diffilcult to believe due to the fact that a casting rod is much harder to perfect than a spin rod. I've fished both and there just doesnt seem to be any comparison between them to me. I can put that lure just where I want it in just about any given situation. A spinners user friendly nature makes it ideal for beginners and pros. You can focus on catching the fish, instead worrying about the backlash of that caster.

Taking Time To Fish
Many of us anglers cant wait until the water warms up, to get the boat ready and head off to our favorite lake. Here are some things to consider before you make your next trek. There are continous advancement in bass fishing techniques and equipment. If your not a year round fisherman but would like to put as many bass in the boat as possible, then I suggest that before you head off to the water that you spend some of your non-fishing free time to read and study on some new advancements or to just learn some better ways to do some of the old things. Preparation is always the key before getting your lures wet. So a little reading and practice can definatley go a long way to insuring that you have fun when you do take the time to fish.

Hunting for a strike
Winter fishing can be a challenge if you don't know what to do at your favorite honey hole. A lot of anglers have several suggestions to help you be more productive during this time of year. Personally I believe that what works at one lake, river, or pond, may not necessarily mean its going to work for you. I have found out that sometimes not changing your tactics might be just a profitable when doing winter bass fishing. Obviously many if not all top water techniques wont work, but color variance may not play as big a part as some anglers would have you believe. You have to find out what works for you and incorporate that in a formulation that you'll be able to use for many years to come in that given situation. Experimentation seem to be the best way to see how you will fair during winter bass fishing. If you truly are in love with fishing, then you will stick with it until you find out what works...
